Thank you to the players who joined York Chess Club for its first tournament of 2024.

The Jan. 27 Kreutz Creek Quads scholastic division had a three-way tie for first. Tournament director Brian Costella stands with the winners.

Due to holiday schedule conflicts, the club took a break from the Kreutz Creek Quads in November and December. As of last Saturday, the Quads are back to their regular schedule on the fourth Saturday of each month. Saturday’s event attracted 20 players, with four open division quads and one scholastic. Results of the Jan. 27 Kreutz Creek Quads have been published on the USCF website.
